Example: two landscape scans on readable A4 pages
Two 1200 × 900 images must become a single document. Choose A4 portrait, Fit and 10 mm margins; check the page order before creating the PDF. Each image becomes its own page, not a collage.
- Add both images, then use Move up or Move down until the queue matches the intended reading order.
- Choose A4, portrait orientation, 10 mm margins and Fit so no text is cropped.
- Create the PDF, download it and open every page. Check the page count and text readability; a visually readable image is not automatically searchable text.
Page geometry and effective resolution
A4 is 210 × 297 mm. Subtracting two 10 mm margins leaves 190 × 277 mm. A 4:3 image fitted to that box uses 190 × 142.5 mm. A 1200-pixel-wide source across 190 mm provides about 160 pixels per inch (1200 ÷ (190 ÷ 25.4)); this is an estimate, not a print-quality guarantee. PDF dimensions use 72 points per inch.

Common mistakes to avoid
- There is no OCR: words inside the images remain pixels, not a searchable text layer.
- This is not a PDF merger, editor, password-protection or PDF/A archival tool.
- Shrinking the page placement is not the same as reducing the embedded image bytes.
Accuracy and limits
Up to 50 images, each up to 30 MiB (labelled 30 MB), subject to device memory and image validation. WebP is prepared as PNG for embedding, which can increase size. A PDF assembled from images is not automatically an accessible, tagged document; add accessible text and structure in a suitable editor when needed.

JPG to PDF
JPG photos can be combined into a single PDF with A4, US Letter, image-sized or custom pages. The quality preset controls the trade-off between visual detail and file size; Best quality avoids recompressing original JPG data.
PNG to PDF
PNG files are embedded while preserving transparency. The selected page background remains visible through transparent areas and around images, without changing the original source file.
Image to PDF privacy
Image decoding and PDF creation happen in your browser. ConvertHop does not upload image contents, filenames, thumbnails, PDF data or image metadata to a conversion service. Results remain in the current browser session.
Image quality and PDF size
Best quality favors detail and can produce a larger PDF. Balanced is the default for everyday use, while Smaller PDF applies stronger JPG recompression. PNG transparency is preserved, so PNG-heavy PDFs may remain relatively large.

No. Each image becomes an image on a PDF page. There is no OCR or automatic tagged-document structure; add accessible text and reading order in a suitable editor when required.

No. It avoids recompressing original JPG data. PNG is embedded directly and WebP is prepared as PNG. Large source images can therefore produce a large document.
Can I add HEIC photos or an existing PDF?
Not directly. Convert supported HEIC photos to JPG first, then add the JPG here. This tool does not merge or edit existing PDF documents.
Are the images or generated PDF uploaded?
No. Decoding, layout and PDF creation happen in the browser. Download the document before leaving the page; closing the page does not remove copies you already saved.
