Image quality and PDF size
Best quality favors detail and can produce a larger PDF. Balanced is the default for everyday use, while Smaller PDF applies stronger JPG recompression. PNG transparency is preserved, so PNG-heavy PDFs may remain relatively large.

It can. JPG may be recompressed depending on the quality preset. Best quality avoids unnecessary JPG recompression, while PNG is embedded directly.
Is there a file limit?
